Helping You Live Your Best Life
Welcome to the first in a series of features designed to help you reflect on what you want out of your life. I invite you to join me as we explore topics from relationships to goal-setting and discuss ways to create positive change in your own life.
I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping people get the most out of their lives and relationships. I focus on marriage and family therapy, as well as individual therapy in Denver. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
My practice is centered on helping you achieve greater understanding of yourself and establish better communication with those closest to you.
Challenges and roadblocks are inherent to life as a human being, but your perspective and approach to those challenges can make the difference between feeling lost – or feeling more fulfilled and contented. Gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and effective life and communication strategies can help you become more resilient and ready to face new opportunities.
Working with a therapist can offer a safe, non-judgmental space to work through challenges and also to gain a fresh perspective on recurring issues that could be holding you back. As your therapist, I am committed to treating you with respect, patience and empathy, and I will strive to guide you through your process in a thoughtful way.
In future articles, I will address topics including: strategies for breaking negative thought patterns, couple conflict patterns, communication skills, identifying goals and barriers to success, and much more. In addition, we will dive into some heavier topics like substance abuse and grief/loss. If you have an idea for a topic, or a question you would like me to cover, please feel free to e-mail me at scott@scottkohner.com.
Sincerely,
